1959 Chevrolet Viking Short Bus Converted Into A Mobile Bedroom

1959 Chevrolet Viking Short Bus Converted Into A Mobile Bedroom

Do any of you remember the 1959 Chevrolet Viking short bus?

It may be a bit early for a lot of you… like it was for me. But it was an amazing vehicles.

Well a little while ago, a man decided that it was not good enough, and so he would upgrade… and so he did.

He made it into a bedroom. Yes, a bedroom. For all of you that have seen the short bus, you know that the inside is not like your normal bus today. It is quite a bit different, and this made designing the interior a nightmare. A real problem. But it was done.

An architect drew up the plans and work was soon under way. The owner then decided on a theme. He wanted the old school bus to have a funky, hippy, Moroccan vibe. Good choice if you ask me. They then renovated the inside, added a few sofas and with some lamps and other furniture, it has become quite the bedroom. The real funky thing about this is that sofas can be pushed together to make a double bed. Now that is cool. To add some finishing touches, a 120 V and a 12 V electric was added along with a sink and washroom. This bus can have up to twelve passengers and is a very nice ride (if I can still call it that, or maybe a “very nice live”).

In my opinion, this is a great venture, and the uniqueness of the idea and project makes it a step above the rest. It’s really mint if you ask me. Today this trend is getting more and more common with people liking the mobility but what stands out for me is the bus he used. He went for the old school, the classic 1959 Chevrolet Viking short bus. This is what makes it so mint. Live and drive up!

… cause its worth it!

1937 Prototype Plymouth Housecar

1937 Prototype Plymouth Housecar

Who would believe that a futuristic motorhome dubbed “the Zeppelin” came out of a prototype house car which was actually designed in 1937?

This car was built by a mechanic at the Chris-Craft boat dealership in San Francisco with high hopes of making a line of its kind. However, due to the scarcity of materials in the WW2, manufacturing ended. Although this car was one of its kind, several researches show that it was registered as a Plymouth house car in 1942.

Rechristened in 2002 as the 1937 Himsl Zeppelin Roadliner, its current owner, a famed customizer Art Himsl did a series of restoration starting in 1999, more than 30 years after he and his friend Ed Green found the car with its aft sticking out from a barn in California’s Napa Valley in 1968. Prior to the vehicles total renovation Himsl and Green used the car which as sort of an office for several years.

The first order of the remodeling process was to refurbish and modernize the drive components. Air-lift bags were added to all four corners. The old engine was replaced with a 350 Chevy engine and most of the old running gear was also replaced. As part of its total make-over, Himsl ripped off the original skin which was a mixture of steel panels and stretch fabric and replaced it with a modern material called Stitz Poly-Fiber. Originally, the car did not have any font fenders and so as part of its renovation, fenders were replaced and the nose was reconstructed.

The original exterior panels were stripped away. Upholsterer/designer Howdy Ledbetter executed the inside refurbishment of the Zeppelin’s upholstery. The original oak cabinetry were still used. Further, Ledbetter made a dozens of light cream vinyl panels which cover all of the interior, and maroon carpets concealed the floors. Himsl applied a spectacular finish in an art Deco theme which completed the car’s renovation.

It was registered in 1942 as a Plymouth house car.

At present, the perfectly offered Zeppelin boasts a 350 cubic inch V8 Chevy engine with a push button auto transmission. Its air-ride disruption, a fridge, a microwave oven plus front and rear air bags are added value to this house car. And because it has a propeller, driving it makes it more fun.

40 per cent of British women have a one night stand while on holiday

40 per cent of British women have a one night stand while on holiday

Does that seem like a lot? This is based on a report about a travel agency in Britain called Miss Travel

So out of all those vacationers out there, how many are hooking up for one night?

I guess it depends how many vacations Brit women are taking. Is it 1 vacation only by age 30? Unlikely, right? So the figure doesn’t mean that 4 our of 10 girls on vacation in your vacation town are going to hook up.

Even still, if 40 percent of women have hooked up on vacation, that seems like it would only be a part of overall women who have one-night stands. So how many women have one night stands nowadays?

Obviously more than 4 in 10 women.

But probably not 80 percent, since women are more likely to have one night stands on vacation than when at home.

Another fact: 1 out of 10 British women said they had been on vacations where they had a week long break, and during those 7 days, they slept with 5 or more people.

1 in 10?!

However, these results are based on a website that serves women looking for travel, called Miss Travel.com. So maybe more women who want to hook up are coming to the site and that’s where these numbers come from.

30 foot Trailer House

30 foot Trailer House

A great investment for those who move a lot to and from different places, due to the demand of their work or just for leisure, trailer houses are now in demand and we are seeing some interesting variations.

Look at this peculiar house on the road! With the accumulated knowledge and experience of Greg Parham, owner of Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses, a 15,000 pound capacity custom-built trailer house was made for a client in Texas.

But this is not just an ordinary trailer. Compared to other trailer houses on the go, this is specially made since this is the biggest among the many trailer houses on the road. Well, of course with the exception of some of the biggest fifth wheel trailers, this amazing home weighs unbelievably the same: around 12,000 pounds, dry. With this quality triple-axle trailer, you’ll discover inside not only one, but two lofts, with a 197-square foot main floor. For quality time well spent for a family to stay in.

Because of the convenience that you can experience in this road-home, you may forget to notice that this structure will cost around $63,000 to build. An easy-on-the-pocket housing which is way much better and more practical than renting a house.

Since this is a fast equity building, you wont wait so many years before it can be built. And with the talent of a builder like Greg, it will surely be a short term plan for you before you can move in. Though it is not much of an asset, at least it is not more of a liability because it has a cheaper price and will be good for the people who are planning to build stick-built houses in the future.

A home is where you should be able to feel comfort and protection. A shelter for you and your family. This will separate you from the rest of the world. So whether on the road or parking, your house should be made just for you. Feel at home!
